U.S., Allies Conduct Aerial Show of Force in Response to North Korean Missile Launch

10 mai 1966, première traversée transatlantique d’un avion de combat à réaction français

Il y a 51 ans, le 10 mai 1966, un Mirage IVA de l’escadron de bombardement 1/91 « Gascogne » effectuait pour la première fois une traversée transatlantique. Un vol inédit de 7h40 constituant la première étape d’un périple de 20 000 kilomètres qui prit fin sur la piste de Hao, en Polynésie française.
